          This monitor is definitely worth the money. I use it for gaming and a dual screen set up with my laptop. It's very easy to have it set up on both my PC and xBox since it has HDMI, VGA, and DVI inputs. When looking for a new monitor, I wanted to get one that had the smallest amount of input lag. After buying this monitor, I can see why MLG chose ASUS for their official monitors. Response time is super quick, and there is no sign of ghosting. Also 1080p movies look insane on this bad boy. Overall, I give it a 10 out of 10 for the price I paid. Quality monitor from a quality company.

          I purchased this from Tigerdirect and reviewed it there but I will also review it here. I was skeptical of the price also and was purchase for one seventy nine there as well but it has been a great monitor. There were some negative reviews there as well but you get a bad lemon out of every bag. I feel bad for the ones that have not been able to enjoy this wonderfully crisp monitor and for those like me, it is great.

I was looking for a good monitor to complete my computer build and i found it. I got this monitor because it had a built in webcam, and i wanted a huge monitor since i have been looking at little laptop monitors for the last 5 years. This monitor works really well, and the webcam works like a charm. I have been using windows 7 for the last few months, and it works great with skype.

I recently "hackintoshed" my computer, so now i have both windows 7 and osx snow leopard. I noticed that when i use iChat to video chat in osx, everything appears darker. I am not sure if this is an issue with the webcam, low lighting, or how the software handles the image. my guess is the latter, since everything works great in windows. This product is only listed as pc hardware, but the webcam does work in osx, and the monitor works perfectly.

This is an amazing monitor
very bright I had to turn down the brightness but this is not a bad thing
it says 21.5 inch but it's actually closer to 22
I've had a lot of monitors over the years and so far this is my favorite
I did find the built-in speakers to be useless. They might be good for everyday computer use
but if you use your system to do multimedia movies DVDs and Blu-ray you'll find them to be insufficient. But I had a good idea of that going and.
For price/quality/performance you're not going to do better
ASUS offers great customer service
the only bad thing I can say about this monitor is having to wait for the refund
but having to wait for someone to give you money isn't really a bad thing is it

          I bought this monitor to replace the 17" LCD in our computer room. I wanted a larger desktop so I could view documents side by side, and play my X360 at night without disturbing the family. While the review basically stands the same today, keep in mind the LCD market is always changing so what was competitive in 2009 will be less so in 2010. ASUS VH202T-P 20 Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor With Build in Speaker Review

          I now have two of these monitors and am very happy with them. For the price, the monitors are very good quality with good contrast and zero ghosting. The only draw back is the lack of height adjustment, which if you have a good desk with a monitor stand, is not a problem. I received mine with no dead pixels and have not had a problem with their function.

ASUS VW193DR Wide LCD Monitor 19 Inch Overview

This monitor was so easy to set up, the (skimpy) documentation provided wasn't even needed.

Once I set up all the users with new wallpapers to accommodate the wider screen (the previous was a standard CRT), customized each display for the individual users, and went through the Clear Type Power Toy with each user, the display was excellent, pleasing even the older users with multifocal lenses.

If you're looking for a 19" LCD monitor, this is an excellent one for the price.

The advantages of LED lighting compared with sodium lamps

          I consider it important to publish these additional news, compared to the success of the previous post, today I propose some of the advantages of LED lighting against the traditional sodium vapor lighting:

Energy saving:

This one works really good.
Very sharp picture. It's good for playing video games or watching movies.
Only complain is that you don't want to trust on these speakers. They are good if you use your PC to write documents, chat, etc. If you want to play video-games, watch movies, or watch youtube videos; these might not be enought so you'll need a new pair of speakers.

The monitors are awesome in terms of aesthetics and functionality and I really enjoy them very much. Caveat emptor; if you are purchasing because of the built-in speakers then you will be disappointed by their performance.

          I needed an inexpensive monitor to use with my netbook at home. Did not want to toggle with the high-end IPS monitor that I use with my tower. This ASUS met all my requirements (size, price, etc.) ... and when I actually fired it up was amazed at the display quality.
          The LED backlighting makes a tremendous amount of difference. While super bright (can be adjusted down), it is still soft on the eyes.
          The quality of the resolution (at any setting) is actually extraordinary. I had purchased another monitor for this purpose from a local electronics store (which actually cost more than this one), but the quality was atrocious so had to return it.
          This monitor I think would be excellent at any work station, and can be viewed comfortably for long periods (I have very sensitive eyes). The colors are gorgeous!, compared with any monitor type. The screen size seems larger than it is, and is excellent for work (word processing, etc.) or play (games, movies, etc.).
          It tilt adjusts nicely, controls are easy to understand and use, and has a solid build feel with a stable base. In this price range one cannot expect it to have a height adjustment, too, so I've elevated it about 1" and it's perfect.
          Did not expect it to be this good, so as the title of this review says, I was very pleasantly surprised. It's my first ASUS product, and now will be open to purchasing ASUS products in the future.

ASUS VS248H-P 24-Inch Monitor Review

          Bought this as an upgrade for my old Samsung 2243bwx 22" monitor. Although that monitor was only a 3-4 years old, the technology now is leaps and bounds better than what is was a few years back. Got this ASUS VS248H-P in the mail today and noticed a huge difference immediately. The Samsung had a DCR of 8000:1, and the ASUS has 50000000:1!!! The blacks are blacker and the bright colors jump out at you. Keep in mind that I'm not an expert in displays and haven't really experienced a newer monitor for any long duration of time, so this review is kind of biased on the point of my ignorance & unfamiliarity. It's also biased on the fact that I've been a big fan of ASUS. I have personally had great experience with them and have been more and more impressed with their products over the years. They have really stepped up their game recently. So if you're not looking to make the jump to a 27-30" monitor, want to spend under $200 ($195 from Amazon), want a breathtaking display and have various display ports...then do yourself a favor and get this, you won't regret it at all!

ASUS PA238Q 23-Inch Monitor Review

          I've had two of these monitors for a little over a week, and it's everything I was looking for. The color accuracy is practically flawless in sRGB mode. I bought this mainly because it was claimed to cover the full sRGB gamut, and after my calibration/testing, I found this to be true to claim. I here I thought that "individual calibration" sheet in the box was just marketing. My previous sRGB IPS panels covered about 87-90% at best, and uniformity was hit or miss. I would have preferred a CCFL backlight like it's big brother, but the thinness and power/heat savings of the LED panel does have it's benefits. The fit and finish of the monitor is extremely high, and very professional (absolutely love the quick fit feature when working in Lightroom).
          The screen coating is minimal as well. Don't worry about the "low" spec'd brightness either, it is not a problem. I personally could care less about off angle viewing, as I don't do it, but it is as one would come to expect from any IPS panel (that is to say, great). The response time is fast enough for games as well, though some can give it a work out. I also really appreciated that they give you every input cable it accepts (minus hdmi). Asus is taking their Pro Art line very seriously it appears, and that's just one more reason I love their products.
          This sRGB IPS monitor is in rare company, and definitely deserves serious consideration in this price/size range.
